Sophomores Payton Godsey and Grace Geyer, along with junior Sarah Colebrooke, helped Oaks Christian High in California place second overall in the girls varsity 3-mile race at the Marmonte League championship meet at Agoura High. Godsey covered the 3-mile course in 18:09.48 to finish fifth, Geyer clocked 18:19.98 to secure seventh and Colebrooke ran 19:04.48 to earn 11th for the Lions, who had five scorers in the top 20 to advance to the CIF-Southern Section Division 4 prelims Nov. 12 at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut.
